1. Rental Conditions
The motorhome can be rented by a person over the age of 23 with a valid driving license for at least 3 years. The validity of the driving license must last until the end of the rental period. To rent the motorhome, the vehicle must be reserved. Upon vehicle pick-up, the renter must have their valid driver’s license with them.
For travels outside of the European Union, the renter must have permission to drive a foreign vehicle.
The renter listed in the contract is responsible for the consequences of any breaches of the contract. The renter listed in the contract operates the vehicle. The vehicle cannot be sublet or used by another person.
The renter agrees to treat the vehicle as a good steward.
Any penalties incurred are the responsibility of the renter.
Pets are not allowed in the vehicle. Smoking is not allowed in the vehicle.
The rental period cannot be extended without the prior permission of the motorhome owner.
The rental period begins with the signing of the rental agreement by both parties and the handover protocol, payment of the entire rental amount and the deposit. The rental period ends with the signing of the handover protocol by both parties, settlement of any additional costs and the return of the deposit.
Fuel, parking fees, tolls, camping and tourist taxes, and motorhome preparation fee of €70 are not included in the price.
2. Payments, Additional Fees, and Penalties
Upon pick-up, the full rental amount (10 days before the rental period in high season) and the full deposit must be paid.
Payment can be made in cash or to our bank account opened at Nova KBM d.d., account number: SI56 0400 1004 8272 912.
The price includes VAT, unlimited mileage, mandatory and collision damage waiver insurance, roadside assistance, and basic equipment.
Fuel, parking fees, tolls, camping and tourist taxes, and motorhome preparation fee of €70 are not included in the price.
PENALTIES:
- €15 per hour for each late hour
- €150 for smoking in the motorhome
- €50 for a full toilet cassette
- €30 for a full wastewater tank
- €50 for unclean motorhome. External cleaning and internal cleaning, each €50. Charged if a thorough cleaning of the motorhome is necessary.
3. Pick-up and Return of the Vehicle
The vehicle pick-up is between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm or by agreement. The renter and the company jointly inspect the vehicle and sign the vehicle status report. Each party receives one copy of the report, which serves as the basis for determining any damage upon the return of the motorhome. The vehicle return is between 9:00 am and 11:00 am or by agreement. If the renter is late, an additional day is charged.
Upon pick-up, the motorhome has a full tank of fuel, enough fluids in the engine, and enough household gas. However, the fresh water tank, the toilet cassette, and the wastewater tank are empty.
Upon pick-up, the renter is orally warned about the peculiarities of driving and using the motorhome.
After signing the handover protocol, the renter receives the keys and vehicle documents.
The renter returns the motorhome:
- Cleaned
- With an empty freshwater tank
- With an empty wastewater tank
- With an empty toilet cassette
- With a full tank of fuel
- With enough fluids in the engine.
Upon return, both parties perform a record check of the vehicle and confirm that the vehicle’s condition is consistent with the condition report at the pickup.
If any damages or unfulfilled obligations from the rental conditions are found, they are charged according to the price list of qualified craftsmen for such repairs or the rental conditions. They are settled from the deposit.
If both parties agree, the return record of the motorhome is signed, and the keys and vehicle documents are returned, concluding the rental agreement.
In case of disagreement, the disputed object is determined in writing, and the dispute can be initiated at the competent court in Celje.
4. Vehicle Insurance
The motorhome has mandatory and comprehensive insurance with Zavarovalnica Triglav and has taken out car assistance in Slovenia and abroad with AMZS or Zavarovalnica Triglav.
If an accident occurs that is covered by our policy, the renter pays the deductible and the loss of the bonus.
5. Renter’s Liability
The renter must lock the motorhome each time it is left. The renter keeps the vehicle’s keys and documents safely with them.
The renter is liable without limitation:
- for damages to the vehicle that did not occur in a traffic accident,
- for damages and fines resulting from non-compliance with regulations, laws, rules, etc.
All interventions in the vehicle without prior agreement with the lessor are prohibited, and therefore, the costs of repairs are not recognized.
In case of vehicle failure or equipment damage due to wear and tear or technical failure, the repair costs are borne by the lessor, and the repair and payment are agreed with the renter.
In case of motorhome failure, the renter immediately notifies the lessor (00386 41 630 343) to jointly decide on further activities (assistance, repair, service, payment, etc.). If the failure is not the renter’s fault and the renter has fixed it at an appropriate service station after agreeing with the lessor, the renter presents the original invoice upon returning the motorhome, which must be in the name of the motorhome owner. Only in this case, the lessor reimburses the renter for the costs incurred.
In case of failure, the lessor is not obliged to replace the vehicle with a replacement or cover any costs incurred by the renter. The renter is entitled to all benefits and costs covered by the car assistance provided by AMZS or Zavarovalnica Triglav.
If the vehicle has been damaged or become unusable to the extent that it cannot be prepared for rental in the current rental period due to the renter’s fault or other causes, the lessor is not obliged to provide a substitute vehicle. Each such case is individually resolved in accordance with the lessor’s options (refund of the paid advance, renting at another time, etc.).
In the event of a traffic accident, the renter must:
- fill out the “European Accident Statement” form,
- write a statement of sobriety,
- in a foreign country, also report the accident to the police.
If the insurance company rejects the payment of the damage due to the renter’s fault, the renter must pay the entire amount. If the insurance company covers the damage, the renter must pay 1% of the deductible franchise, which will be deducted from the deposit.
In the event of determining intoxication or gross negligence in the event of an accident, the comprehensive insurance does not apply, and all costs of repairs and lost earnings are borne by the renter.
In case of damage caused by an unknown person, the renter must report the incident to the police and obtain their report.
6. Security Deposit
A security deposit of EUR 700 must be paid upon the vehicle pickup, which will be used to cover:
- 1% of the deductible franchise in the event of an accident or theft of the vehicle,
- loss of insurance bonus,
- missing or damaged equipment,
- reasons arising from non-compliance with the “RENTAL CONDITIONS,” rules, laws, and other regulations.
7. Reservation
The reservation fee amounts to 40% of the rental fee – advance payment.
The costs of canceling the reservation paid from the advance payment are:
- cancellation over 20 days before departure, loss of advance payment,
- cancellation from 20 to 10 days before departure, 70% of the total rental value,
- cancellation from 10 to 1 day before departure, 90% of the total rental value.
